These Bionic Jellyfish Could Become Data Miners of the World’s Oceans

A prosthetic allows the jellyfish to swim three times faster. When combined with sensors, they could measure ocean conditions such as temperature, salinity, acidity, oxygen levels, nutrients and microbial communities.
